2019 marked the 300th anniversary of the passing of St. John Baptist De La Salle, founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, and patron saint of all teachers. De La Salle died in Rouen, France, on April 30th, 1719. To mark this historic year, there were many special events taking place around the world. On Twitter, the special hashtag #300LaSalle was used to collate all activities taking place to mark the occasion.
Here in St. Stephen's, we enter the Lasallian Competition each year. Our classes have entered and had great success, taking home a prize from the competition every year that we have entered. Below, we have provided links to the videos made by classes from St. Stephen's that have been entered in the Lasallian Competition since it began in 2016. There's also a link to our special page here on the website, with the history of Saint La Salle's life. We hope you enjoy reading about the Founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools!
