The boys in Mr. Russell's 5th Class had a super time learning about dogs and safety around dogs with Heather and Ted from Dog's Trust Ireland. Heather came to visit St. Stephen's on Monday, May 21st, 2018, and brought a furry friend - Ted, the helper dog! Ted and Heather taught the boys about how to behave around dogs - asking permission to pet a dog, how to approach a dog for the first time, and what to do if you don't want attention from a dog.
All the boys receieved lovely pens after the visit - with the added bonus that the pens contained a fold-out sheet with the information they had just learned! Thanks, Heather and helper dog Ted, for coming to visit us in St. Stephen's! Check out some photos in the gallery below from the visit in Mr. Russell's 5th Class!
